Carbon & Alloy Steel is a family owned steel service center that has been providing a wide selection of alloy tubing and bar to their valued customers for over 25 years. Our inventory is designed to service the needs of the local service centers and OEM's throughout the country. We can provide value added services, such as our in house turning, trepanning, boring and production cutting. Other value added services we provide are honing, gun drilling, burnishing, grinding and heat treating to aircraft or commercial specifications. We have inside sales people with over 90 years of combined experience and expertise in the steel industry who can provide technical & metallurgical advice. The grades of steel we are stocking in 1/2' to 16' diameter in Cold Drawn and Hot Roll, walls from .065' to 4.000' thick are:

These grades of tube and bar are commonly used with some heat treatment such as: case hardening, normalizing, soft-annealing, quench and tempered, caburizing and high strength application without heat treatment.

If you do not see the size or grade of tubing listed on our web site, then ask about Hollow Bar Tubing. We can provide the tube from the bar by trepanning or boring or gun drilling. Sometimes we must offer hollow bar tubing due to heavy wall on aircraft or bearing quality requirement. Lead time on hollow bar tubing is normally 1.5 to 2 weeks. Larger quantities such as mill quantities may take a few weeks longer. Gun drilling or injector drilling 1/2 to 2 ID, max length 6'0'.

Boring or trepanning 1 ID to 15 3/4 ID lengths up to 17 ft depending on the ID Requirement. On the hollow bar tubing we prefer to know the finish OD & ID and length to determine the size to offer that will finish your size.
