1996 was a busy year for young Patrick Zorn. An idea that had formed during his last year of military service was about to become a reality, and with guidance from a few seasoned contractors and initial training from an established manufacturer, Samson Steel Truss & Supply, Inc. stepped into the steel truss manufacturing arena in 1997. The years have seen a few changes, such as Patrick’s sons growing up while learning all the aspects of the business. Driving the forklifts when they could reach the pedals, learning how to chop steel and set up webbing patterns, and when the time came ~ learning the proper welding techniques. Now the second generation is moving into a prominent position at Samson Steel, but the work ethic remains the same as it has for over 20 years. We don’t just stand behind our trusses ~ we work under them.
