Founded in 1989, Nibrock, Inc. took its place in the ongoing war against wear with the introduction of Rock Plate and Rock Pipe. Nibrock, Inc.’s chromium carbide overlay process of Rock Plate and Rock Pipe produces a product that will have a wear life that far exceeds most of the standard materials being offered today.

The chromium carbide overlay weld wire used is manufactured to our proprietary specifications and is applied with the FCAW Welding Process. Rock Plate & Rock Pipe Products have a surface hardness of 600+ BHN and are not difficult to work with. The selection of base materials gives the Rock Plate & Rock Pipe its unique characteristics; the base material of low carbon steel or other metal alloys is used for its ductility and weld ability that is ideal for shop fabrication & field installation, while the high chromium carbide overlay is used for its hardness, abrasion resistance and moderate impact resistance.
