It All Started with a 1938 DeSoto...

In 1947, a car dealer in St. Paul MN jokingly asked Fred Berdass, 'if you could make me 100 replacement door handles [for these DeSotos], I'd buy 'em all up'. Days later, to the surprise of the dealer, Fred came back with the 100 door handles, and soon found himself selling to car distributors all across the Twin Cities, later the Midwest. Products ranged from door handles to curb-scrapers (back when automobiles had them) to vehicle sun-visors.

A business was born and BERMO Inc. was thus founded in 1947 by the Berdass family and is still family owned today. With over 70 years of experience, BERMO Inc. has the advantage in one-stop-shop manufacturing.
