Cassriel's Jewelers was established in the late 1800's in Germany. Henry H. Cassriel, a talented Watchmaker, came to America and settled in San Francisco, where he opened a shop in 1896, specializing in custom work, diamonds, and fine watches imported from Germany. He was given the special honor of being the official timekeeper for the Union Pacific Railroad. His son, Howard Cassriel operated several stores throughout California that became known for high-quality diamonds, knowledgeable Gemologists on the premises, and friendly service. Our Certified Gemologists offer services that include estate and private appraisals, designing fine jewelry, diamond education, precious gemstone education, and guidance for a nation-wide clientele.
