The Essentials of Metal Fabrication Coursework is the heart of our metal fabrication school. Our goal is to provide students with the resources and training needed to fully comprehend metal fabrication at it's core. Our curriculum, as listed below, goes into detail listing the things you as a student will learn to provide you with the the knowledge that you need to become a marketable metal fabricator though our school.

Curriculum

The Essentials of Metal Fabrication Coursework teaches you:
Mig, Tig and Stick Welding - Machining - Sheet Metal Forming - Chassis Fabrication - Tube Fabrication - Blueprint Comprehension - Motor Sports Fabrication - Resume Writing, and Interview Preparation etc.

Students will be trained on the following equipment:

Mig, Tig and stick welders, plasma cutter, manual tubing bender and programmable tubing bender, grinders and polishers, sheet metal stomp sheer, hydraulic sheer, sheet metal brake, pop rivet gun and hard rivet gun, english wheel, bead roller, bag and hammer forming, horizontal and vertical band saws, cold saw, abrasive and hole saw notchers, manual mill, manual lathe, drill press, precision measuring tools (dial calipers, micrometers, dial indicator).

Day Classes - Essentials of Metal Fabrication

19 weeks, 4 days a week (Monday - Thursday), 8 hours per day (8am - 5pm), for a total of 600 hours of education.

Night classes - Essentials of Metal Fabrication

8 weeks, 4 days a week (Monday - Thursday), 4 hours per day (6pm - 10pm) for a total of 600 hours of coursework.

Our Founder

Luke Czaplinski is one of the founders of American Fabrication Academy and is well known in the metal fabrication industry with over 25 years experience. Luke’s passion for metal fabrication started when he was young. At the age of 12, his father taught him how to weld, and quickly went to work in the welding and fabrication industry at age 16, welding for a living throughout high school. Among his other accolades, Luke is an accomplished AWS certified TIG welder who has hand built over 500 motorcycle chassis. Luke is a proud Veteran who served in the United States Marines as an Infantryman. Luke’s passion for creating and love to teach translates into an enthusiastic style that engages everyone he encounters, especially his students. Luke is proud to be an instructor at his fabrication and welding school and says that the coolest thing he’s ever built is “amazing young fabricators that get great jobs”. Luke always says he found his true calling in teaching. His passion for teaching and passing on his skill-set to new fabricators is what America needs. American Fabrication Academy provides students with hands-on skills required to become marketable candidates for employment in the metal fabrication and welding industry through comprehensive teaching methods provided by our experienced and AWS certified instructors.
