Martin Roofing

Martin Roofing has been in Charlottesville since 1937 when Earl Martin opened up the western branch office of NW Martin, founded in Richmond in 1906.

Eventually Martin Roofing became independent of NW Martin, and in 1974 moved to it's current location on Avon Street Extended.

In 1991 Martin Roofing was acquired from the Martin family, and today is owned by Marc Bridenhagen and Wayne Sullivan.

Over the past 75 years the company has been known for both it's roofing and sheet metal work, as well as heating and air conditioning installations. During World War II the company produced airplane sheet metal parts in support of the war effort.

Today the company continues its work in roofing and sheet metal with expertise and experience in all types of roofing, both residential and commercial, as well as operating a large and well-equipped sheet metal shop.

We are old fashioned in our values and current in our belief that all customers should be treated as we would like to be treated. Fairness, honesty, and loyalty to both our customers and employees is something we value highly.

We have many customers whom we have served for decades and we have many employees who have worked with us for decades — the longest having worked with us for 52 years, and he is still working today!
