Small Time Recycling is here to disrupt the recycling industry. Our company is in its infancy right now, but that doesn’t mean our vision is small. We believe that people want to recycle and will therefore bring the materials to us if we pay for them. The current curbside model requires a second garbage truck @ $250,000 a pop. Small Time wants to eliminate the pick up model in favor of the drop off model. People are already going somewhere and using fuel to get there, so why not pay them to bring the materials to us instead of doubling the number of trash trucks. The second way to disrupt the industry is to process the materials on-site thus eliminating a second transport of the materials. Of course Small Time will still come out to pick up recyclable materials from your home or business at your request, but we would like to see the day in Indianapolis when there are 9 drop off sites, one in each township, that will make it easy to recycle. The city currently puts out partitioned dumpsters around town where people can drop off items for free, how much more could be collected and processed if people were paid for their materials. We are going to start small and only buy aluminum cans at first. From there we will add other materials in the future. We are currently looking for a location on the south side to begin our operation!
