A & R Iron Works

We have been in business since 1979 and specialize in structural and miscellaneous steel projects. Our customers include schools, shopping centers, banks, restaurants, industrial parks, theaters and housing developments, as well as private individuals.Wrought iron railings are our specialty and we also fabricate pipe rails. They are all solidly constructed and visually appealing. Our window guards, fire escapes and stairs are made to order.

A & R Wrought Iron Railings was formed in August 1979 by Guy V. Romero & Frank Alkins. Their principal products were wrought iron railings, window guards, and fire escapes. They incorporated in January 1982 as A & R Iron Works, with Guy as President and Frank as Vice President. 

In 1986 the Company expanded their products and services to include miscellaneous structural steel fabrication and erection. In May of 1992 Frank Alkins retired and Guy purchased his equity interest in the company, becoming the sole shareholder and retaining his title as President. In 1989, Robin Romero became Vice President.
