Lindsay Machine Works Inc.

Lindsay Machine Works was founded by Mike and Susanna Lindsay in 1994, just east of Kansas City Missouri. Mike entered the machining trade in 1980 when he attended a U.S. Navy machinist school in San Diego, CA. After machinist school, Mike worked and lived for 3 1/2 years on a destroyer tender, the USS Prairie, working in the machine shop onboard. Susanna received a Business Administration degree in 1982 from Point Loma College, located in San Diego.

After completing their time in the Navy, Mike and Susanna moved back to the Kansas City area in 1984. Mike worked in several machine shops, while Susanna had sales and administrative positions.

In 1994, Mike and Susanna decided to start their own machine shop. Susanna worked primarily in sales and bookkeeping, while Mike used his skills to make parts for customers. Customers were so satisfied with the quality parts made at Lindsay Machine Works that Mike and Susanna had to hire more machinists to keep up with the demand.

Lindsay Machine Works now employees over 20 people, using more than 50 machines of all types, including: 25+ CNC milling/turning centers and water jet. We specialize in short-run manufacturing, OEM replacement parts, factory equipment repair and construction equipment repair/manufacturing. We also offer emergency repair of equipment using our CNC milling/turning centers, manual machine tools and welding/fabrication equipment for customers in many different industries.
