Skill Set Fabrication is a shop where real work happens and cool stuff gets built. We stand by the saying that “the bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten.” Our work is always of the highest of quality.

Skill Set has over 30 years in the performance automotive industry. Norman Mayer, owner, attended the Phoenix Institute of Technology to become a precision powertrain, chassis and suspension technician with a focus on performance engine related modifications. He graduated in 1988 with dean’s honors.

Installing a Whipple Supercharger or a Roots Blower on your motor? Need Proper Tuning of a Holley or QFT carburetor? Looking for MSD ignition diagnostics or installation? You might also benefit from a complete suspension and big brakes set up on your vehicle. We also build custom exhaust systems for your car, truck, van or 4x4.

Our custom metal fabrication and welding services include but are not limited to: sheet metal forming, tube bending, lathe & mill machining, plasma cutting 0-700 amp Professional TIG welding of stainless steel, titanium and aluminum. Our shop is stacked with metal tools and the skilled craftsmen to operate them.
