In 1968, after a distinguished career selling sheet metal at the mill warehouse level, Tom Soudan Sr. established his own sheet metal service center, Soudan Metals. After brokering for two years, he leased 2,000 square feet of warehouse space and bought a square shear.

Forty years later, Soudan Metals is operating out of two plants totaling 160,000 square feet. They maintain state of the art slitters, shear, edging lines and blanking lines. Soudan Metals is currently being run by Tom's two sons, Tom Jr. and Peter. They have never worked anywhere else and have a combined 44 years of industry experience.
