Frank Kreutzer & Co.

Frank Kreutzer & Company was established in 1920 by our grandfather, Frank Kreutzer Sr., at our first shop site at Van Buren & Halsted St. in Chicago. We started as a store front sheet metal shop fabricating duct fittings, roof products, exhaust hoods, tanks, boiler breechings, and many other metal products.

As our family business progressed, our grandfather accepted his two sons into the company - Frank Kreutzer Jr. (our uncle) and Harold Kreutzer (our father). As they established themselves into the business, our company expanded into food processing equipment, fabricating drying ovens, industrial exhaust systems, and many metal products for new buildings in downtown Chicago and custom metal specialties.

As the city of Chicago grew, so did Frank Kreutzer & Co. With the death of Frank Kreutzer Sr. in the early 1960's, our company moved into a larger location on Madison St. in Chicago - our current location for the past fifty years. In the 1970's and 1980's, the current third generation came aboard - the sons of Harold Kreutzer - Stephen and Frank Kreutzer. Carrying on the family business, we've expanded into laser and plasma cut parts, green roof products, structural metal fabrication (catwalks, stair sections, machine bases, structurals cut to size, heavy plate fabrication and prototypes) making us a versatile metal fabrication company, all with the attitude of no job is too big or too small.

We work with the largest corporations, to the small businesses, down to the individuals on the street - taking on jobs that our competitors turn away. These values have helped position our company as a significant supplier and a national source of metal fabricated parts for almost 100 years of business.
