Magnum Metal Treating

Magnum Metal Treating is a commercial heat treat company providing thermal processing of steels and non-ferrous alloys. We use special processes to change the physical properties of the metal to meet our customer's requirements. We are located in Conroe Texas, approximately 40 miles north of Houston.

Some of the processes performed at Magnum Metal Treating are as simple as relieving stresses induced by welding or machining. This will improve the dimensional stability and fatique strength of the metal.

Other processes, such as Quench and Tempering, modify the physical properties of the metal to produce a wide range of strength and ductility combinations.

Magnum Metal Treating not only performs these processes but also case hardening of steel parts through Carburizing and Plasma Nitriding which produces a hard outer coating for high wear applications.

In addition to the above, Magnum Metal Treating also specializes in high temperature processing of stainless and tool steels. Parts made from these classes of steel are processed in furnaces designed to create a vacuum in what is called the 'hot zone'  to protect the parts from attack by reactive elements that come into contact with the parts during processing of up to 2400 Deg. F.
