Chesapeake Bay Steel, Inc.

Chesapeake Bay Steel (CBSI) was founded in 1962. In 2000, CBSI was awarded the contract for the Old Dominion Convocation Center. This was a masterpiece because of its size, scale and complexity. This project really put Chesapeake Bay Steel on the map. Soon clients started reaching out to Chesapeake Bay Steel and asking for help on projects that others were afraid to tackle.

Most of CBSI’s contracts are with General Contractors and CBSI has built a reputation of a willingness to help and solve each projects challenge. It does not matter whether the job is as small as ten tons or as large as 1,335 tons and anything in between. CBSI treasures the long-term relationships with all of our clients.

In 2018, the owners sold the business to Ray Felton and Brock Felton who owns Metal Tech as well. This will provide clients of both companies expanded service. Currently, an experienced team of professionals, work at CBSI to build your product or project, in a cost effective and professional manner. We are proud of the fact that we have a team of people dedicated to Steel Erection and a Project Manager to assure the success of your job. In addition, our sister company Metal Tech provides a depth of metal fabrication equipment and talent to further our services to you.
