Cliff comes from a long family history in the mining and exploration industry. His grandfather, Rod McIsaac, started Midwest Diamond Drilling in Flin Flon, Manitoba which grew to be an international company. Cliff’s father, William Allbutt, was employed with Hudson Bay Mining and Smelting and then went on to work for Midwest Diamond Drilling Head office here in Winnipeg. Cliff started working in the Industry at the age of 15. He drilled for Midwest in Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta and the North West Territories. He also drilled for D.W. Coats in British Columbia and the Yukon.
