Atlantic Filter Corporation treated its first drop of water in 1955 and we haven’t stopped since! We have been proudly serving the water needs of homeowners and businesses for more than 50 years. Unlike many large water companies, we are family owned and operated with three generations of water experts bringing pure,clean water to you.  Atlantic Filter was founded in 1955 by Wallace Wakem as a wholesale only original equipment manufacture (OEM) serving plumbing and well drilling contractors throughout the southeast. Wallace built Atlantic Filter on the principles of providing the most reliable and affordable water treatment systems available to the marketplace, accompanied by exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable customer service. Through the years, Atlantic Filter’s reputation as a manufacturer of reliable, quality water treatment systems grew and Atlantic Filter today is considered one of the most respected names in the water treatment industry.  James (Jamie) W. Wakem II joined the company in 1969 and succeeded Wallace Wakem as president in 1980. Jamie maintains the position today. As long-time residents of Palm Beach County, the Wakem family is known and well respected in the South Florida business community. We expanded our corporate headquarters in 1985 to better serve the growing needs of our customers. Located on 45th Street in West Palm Beach, our building now houses some 20,000 square feet of warehouse space, millions of dollars of inventory in water filtration supplies and equipment, an  in-house water testing laboratory, and an interactive Waterplex Water Center showroom. In 1999, we opened our first satellite store on Northlake Blvd. in West Palm Beach. Located in the Shoppes at Ibis, our Waterplex Water Center serves the water needs of Palm Beach County’s western communities.
