Lakeway Manufacturing Inc. was formed in 1978 as a service company for the Blast Furnace industry as it existed in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan, and Indiana. Since that time Lakeway has grown to become a successful supplier of ceramic shapes and services to various businesses in the molten metal industry. Lakeway's product line includes: fiber products and construction (ladel preheaters, tundish preheaters, reheat furnace doors, run out table covers, slab reheat furnace lining), ladle and tundish (lining and covers), precast shapes (ladle bottoms, furnace spouts, ladle spouts, taphole inserts, runners, delta sections, impact pads, and custom designed shapes for specific applications), and design engineering for blast furnace fuel injection systems.

Lakeway has emerged as the leading ISO 9002 certified problem-solving resource through access to refractory technology developedc in conjunction with business partners. lakeway and Paul Wurth combine knowledge and engineering to build new and used tuyere stock assemblies.
