Friedlander M & R Supply was founded in the early forties by Harry Friedlander as a sheet metal shop. It is now a third generation company still fabricating sheet metal products yet much more. It was not long after the business got started that contractors coming for our sheet metal goods started asking for other items as well. The first line of items requested outside of metal goods was roofing supplies. Although it has remained a part of our product line since the early days of the company, it is now a minor player in our overall operation. Nevertheless, if there is a roofing product that we can help you with, we are ready to serve you. Sometime in the early sixties the neighborhood sign shops started coming around to buy a variety of sheet metal to letter their signs. They suggested that we start stocking painted aluminum sheets and thus the sign supply portion of our business was born. With the help of some of the pioneers of the industry we continued to stock everything that was needed to complete an entire sign.
