PERFORMANCE METAL FABRICATORS, INC. is one of South Hampton Roads premiere fabrication and machine shops. We offer a full line of diversified services and specialize in high tech sheet metal fabrication, and precision machining, welding, painting, powder coating, and design and engineering services.

Many shops do either machining services or sheet metal fabrication, and few offer the ability to properly finish the products with painting or powder coating.  At PERFORMANCE  we provide all these services -- and we do them very well.  From our highly accurate and extremely fast CNC Punching Cell to our CNC 3 Axis Vertical Milling Machines, we offer capabilities with some of the newest CAD/CAM technology in the metalworking field.  Whether it's one piece or 10,000 pieces, we can assure our clients that our goal is their complete satisfaction. 

Our plant and corporate offices encompass 27,000 sq. ft. and are housed on 2 acres located in the Alexander Business Park, of Portsmouth Virginia.  We are easily accessed from I-264, and we have a full venue of packaging, shipping and delivery options available to service our customers.

Our customer base consists of primarily projects for the government, with emphasis on communication systems for the NAVY.  We also have a quite diverse customer base in private industry.

Here at PERFORMANCE Metal Fabricators, Inc., we pride ourselves on having highly qualified and experienced engineers and tradesmen who make up our team.  We also take pride in offering various training opportunities to our employees to assist us in continuing to meet the changing needs of our customers.  

We have a culturally diversified and talented group of employees who travel from distances such as Suffolk and Virginia Beach, Virginia, and we also have employees that commute daily from as far away as North Carolina.
