(BIW) began operations in 1982 in Spokane, WA and was started by Pat Tibbetts under the name Red Iron Corporation, in 1995 we built a new fabrication and coatings facility and changed our company name to Brooklyn Iron Works, Inc..Over the years we have become a dominant force in the structural steel market, fabricating steel for everything from simple steel buildings to complex mining conveyors to intricate bridges. 

BIW can and has shipped steel globally from Hawaii to Russia and from the Arctic to Antarctica, we have provided structural steel for bridges on the Dalton highway in Alaska to sign bridges for the new H3 Freeway in Honolulu. We fabricated a submarine lifting barge for the U.S. Navy and dam spillway gates & stop logs for the Army Corp of Engineers. We have provided steel foundations for gravel islands in the Arctic Ocean and the structural steel for a K-Mart in Guam. Our steel has been shipped to mining sites in Peru, Mexico & Canada.

At BIW we have a management team that is second to none, from project kickoff, detailing, fabrication, shipping, erection & project closeout we can handle anything your project demands. We are proficient at managing LEEDS projects, domestic material projects, full traceability projects, low temperature material projects & full time inspection projects.
