Daniel Schmidt and his wife Michaela started working together in the construction and manufacturing industry over ten years ago. They have been together for almost as long as Daniel has been doing sheet metal, since 1997. Over the years Michaela had to listen to many stories about what's going on at the jobsite and shop, watching and later helping Daniel working at home solving problems or working on application details. Michaela started sharing Daniel's passion for architectural sheet metal and they decided to start their own business in 2006.  CSI Architectural Metal Inc. was founded in partnership with RHEINZINK and Follansbee Steel promoting the use of sustainable building products, fabricating and supplying metal systems made of copper zinc and stainless steel. CSI has become a well known manufacturer of quality metal roofing and wall systems made of zinc & stainless steel. Daniel appreciates the opportunities to assist architects in implementing their design visions, to work with the sub-contractors who are installing the metal systems, providing training and problem solving when requested.
