Silrec Corporation

1792 Alysheba Way , Suite 380, Lexington, Kentucky, United States | Solar Recycling

Living in California’s Silicon Valley when the computer technology industry first exploded into the worldwide tech revolution, Alan Goldberg foresaw the opportunity to supply fast-growing tech firms with high purity silicon. By salvaging, sorting and processing bulk scrap silicon, Goldberg believed he could provide a basic necessity to local tech firms, particularly the semiconductor and solar industries, at less expensive costs.  In 1986 he launched Silrec which quickly moved to the forefront of silicon distribution and soon branched into the machining and production of silicon wafers. Developing business relationships with end-users and manufacturers, Silrec expanded to re-purpose both prime and reclaimed silicon of all sizes and specifications. Silrec moved its headquarters and manufacturing plant to Lexington, Kentucky, in 2002.

Silrec Corporation provides all types, sizes and specifications of wafers, bulk silicon and recycling of scrap silicon materials which are made available to a wide variety of industries.  We continue establishing new relationships within the silicon industry with a dedicated commitment to explore and recycle scrap material for alternative uses.
