PDM was once part of the Pittsburgh-Des Moines Steel Company, a nationwide American steel fabrication company involved in some of US’ most astounding monumental construction projects, including the Saint Louis Arch (fabricator and erector) and the World Trade Center.Safety is a team effort and core value at PDM. Because we place such strong emphasis on fostering a secure workplace, we’re able to provide top quality products, services and delivery to our customers—without ever compromising on safety. PDM has developed comprehensive companywide procedures to ensure that we deliver the highest quality products and services to our customers. Our stringent high quality standards are achieved, maintained and measured through our ISO 9001:2008 Certified FPSS facility, our ISO 9001:2015 Certified Plate Processing Center and a quality assurance program throughout the balance of our operations. Additionally, our practice of first article inspections on all processing orders and load verifications prior to departures allow us to consistently deliver our customers high quality steel products when and where they need it. PDM also provides full traceability on every structural product that we carry.

With on-time delivery a critical part of our service model, leadership support of our Driver Safety Program reinforces the trust our customers place in our drivers and fleet. Through our rigorous hiring standards and screening and selection process, we’ve developed a reliable team focused on safety.
