SMS Assembly

2254 Trade Center Way , Naples, Florida, United States | Computer & Electronics Recycling

SMS Memory Module Assembly, Inc. was founded in 1989 by Jeff Bittner. It was originally an assembly company that built memory modules with Zevatech pick and place machines. We were able to provide our customers with more competitive pricing by buying cheaper excess chip inventories from larger manufactuers. Since we were often utilizing cheaper components that were a generation behind, we continued focusing on niche markets outside of the extremely competitive frontline product.

In 2000, we sold the assembly line portion of the business and continued to focus on buying excess component inventories to meet niche and mainstream demand. When our customer demand was beginning to outpace our acquisition abilities we expanded into corporate IT Assets. Weilding our industry knowledge and diverse customer base, we effectively process and recover value on IT Assets for corporations.

As we melded our industry with the IT asset industry, it became more clear that not all IT Asset disposition is equal. Quite often we contact a company that just threw away tens of thousands of dollars worth of product just a week or two before because they didn't know its value. Some companies do not properly wipe the hard drives from their clients resulting in a detrimental exposure of sensitive data.
