Founded in September 2016 by James Glass and Denny Rohrer,  American Metal Works’s CNC manufacturing plant is located in the Mayo Campus of the Big Sandy Community & Technical College in Paintsville, Kentucky. Though a start-up company,  the manpower behind AMW has over 75 years of experience in various industries including coal mining, natural gas drilling, and CNC manufacturing. AMW’s focus is on being an Appalachian-based firm that creates jobs for the region, as well as creating custom parts through the usage of precision and CNC machining to satisfy even the most difficult customer requirements. To meet the ever-increasing demand for custom manufacturing services, AMW has invested in not only the newest equipment, including the HAAS VF-3SS and AIM Revolution, but also the many talented professionals in Eastern Kentucky
