Ozark Timber

14445 N. Highway 65, St. Joe, Arkansas, United States | Wood Recycling

Ozark Timber Treating Corporation was born in the Ozark Mountains near St. Joe, Arkansas in 1967.  Bill White and his son, Steve, purchased a treating plant in St. Joe with plans to enter the business of manufacturing treated wood fence posts and backyard fences.  Bill White was owner of a fencing company in Springfield, MO...Carnahan-White Fence Co.  Bill and Steve decided that starting a company that would manufacture wood fencing would give their fence customers a better choice in landscaping while providing the privacy and durability consumers needed.

Armed with a vision, some pioneer spirit, youth, and Ozark ingenuity, Steve and his young family moved to St. Joe, AR to begin a new company and embark on a lifelong relationship with men and their families who love the mountains of North Arkansas and the verdant valleys around the Buffalo River.  Though Bill and Steve have both passed on, Steve's wife, Judy, is making sure that the White family's legacy continues here in St. Joe.
