San Diego Fence Company Our reputation is built on our outstanding attitude and the abilities of every staff member. From the front office to the installer, our family-owned company has adopted many of our staff who have been here for an unprecedented amount of time. The loyalty of our staff is a good indication as to our commitment to our community and the level of care and professionalism we practice every day. 

San Diego Fence Company was founded by John B. Clark JR in 1947 after his honorable discharge from the Marines following World War II. Mr. Clark started as a helper on a three-man chain link fence crew and began learning the business from the ground up.  The first San Diego Fence Company office was a 20' by 20' garage unit with a metal filing cabinet for a desk, a chair, and Mr. Clark's wife Katy answering the phone. The company was incorporated in 1952 and in 1969 a 5½ acre site was purchased for its new location.  Described by World Fence News as “one of the oldest and most storied fence contracting firms in the country,” we have installed well over 100,000 fences since the first truck rolled out in 1947
