JET Recycling America, Inc.

1445 American Pacific Drive, Suite 304, Henderson, Nevada, United States | Plastic Recycling

JET Recycling America’s mission is to preserve and expand the great economic value and environmental benefits of plastic by developing technology and facilities that can recycle virtually all forms of consumer, commercial, institutional and industrial plastic waste into environmentally beneficial and economically profitable products.

JET Recycling America, Inc. (JRA) is a Nevada-based, pre-revenue company that uses proprietary technology to transform virtually all forms and grades of plastic waste, comingled and regardless of contamination, directly into valuable 100% recycled products.

Recovery and recycling of the 30 million tons of plastic waste disposed annually in the US has long been the largest single problem in solid waste management. It is also the single largest economic opportunity and the one with the greatest positive environmental impact. According to the EPA, the current national plastics recycling rate is only 8.8%. The great majority of currently landfilled or incinerated material is plastic films and foam including millions of additional tons of agricultural films.

The JRA system uses an intensive, multi-stage washing and pre-processing line that creates pristine feedstock for the unique, proprietary JRA manufacturing process. JRA has formed strategic alliances with other leading technology, recycling and waste-collection companies to provide end-to-end waste resource recovery services to municipalities throughout the United States.

There are seven different polymer types or grades, typically labelled by codes 1 through 7. Traditional recyclers can accept and process only two or three of these grades, and only after labor-intensive separation, washing and drying before processing and manufacturing operations.

Many types of plastic – snack bags and wrappers, rigid and flexible packaging materials, wrapping films used for meat, produce and kitchen storage, multi-layer pouches used for drink packaging, and millions of tons of agricultural films are unmarked. These plastics actually make up the great majority of plastic waste – not the bottles and containers that are typically put out for curbside recycling programs.

These plastics have previously been considered non-recyclable or of no economic value. As a result, no investment has been made in recovering these materials. Regardless of well-intentioned curbside recycling programs, less than 9% of total plastic waste is currently recycled in the US. The great majority of all plastic waste is landfilled, incinerated or shipped overseas to become another country’s environmental problem.

The processes and products developed by JRA make virtually all  plastic waste valuable. This makes it economically practical for new, proprietary waste handling technologies to separate all of this material from mixed waste or “garbage”.

JRA systems and products solve the problems of recycling mixed and contaminated plastic waste, and bypass the commodity sales issues associated with traditional recycling methods. JRA end-products are manufactured directly from comingled plastic waste in a continuous, automated process. Virtually all the plastic waste received is utilized – producing one pound of end product from every pound of plastic.

The JRA process produces no harmful chemical emissions or effluents.  JRA products effectively sequester the carbon and chemical compounds in plastics that can otherwise be released into the atmosphere or escape into the environment. JRA facilities produce permanently durable construction materials and specialty molded products that are guaranteed forever against environmental attack or degradation .JRA materials have been tested and certified to neither leach nor outgas chemicals into soil, water or air.

JRA is using an innovative business model to speed the introduction and use of this technology. JRA facilities will serve municipalities around the country by locating as close as possible to these sources of plastic waste, and by selling the products produced right back into the same markets that generated the plastic waste. These highly automated processing and manufacturing plants will be operated as joint-ventures, or as investor-and-company-owned businesses. JRA processing systems, product tooling and software will also be offered for sale to current recycling operators under licensing agreements which will include services for end-product marketing and sales.

JRA recycling technology is currently being used in some of Europe’s most successful waste recycling operations. These companies’ products are sold widely in consumer, commercial, institutional, agricultural and municipal markets. JRA is well supported by a diverse and experienced executive management team.
