Haulrite Environmental

Haulrite Environmental was established in 1979 and currently serves businesses throughout the City of Winnipeg and surrounding areas. We specialize in removing commercial waste and recycling.

We’re a local family-owned company operated by the father and son team of Henry and Nathan Westervelt. We are small enough to care about our customers and large enough to provide reliable and professional waste and recycling solutions for a variety of needs.

We’ve always worked hard to make our customers happy and many of our first commercial clients are still with us today, more than 30 years later.

In our early years, we transferred construction waste in a 3/4 ton International truck with a steel dump box and wooden sides. We grew quickly, and for more than 10 years Haulrite served half of Winnipeg’s homes collecting residential curbside waste. Later we expanded to remove waste from apartments and small commercial establishments east of the Red River and south of the Assiniboine River — an area that encompassed approximately 2/3 of the City of Winnipeg.
