Bachman Machine has been in operation for over 85 years and is a leader in manufacturing for value added metal stampings, progressive stamping dies, CNC machined castings and metal stampings to industry. We also have a wholly owned subsidiary, Plastics Molding Company, that produces quality plastic injection molded parts, as well as over molding and other value added services.

Located in a 105,000 square foot modern facility in St. Louis, Missouri, the company utilizes the latest equipment and technology to insure state-of-the-art machining of parts up to a 48” cube, as well as stampings from high speed presses up to 1,000 ton capacity, along with a full service in-house tool and die production facility. Plastics Molding has thermoplastic and thermoset capability of 35-610Tons/77 Ounce Shot

This world class operation is engineering driven, concentrates on advanced technology, and specializes in early involvement with the customer for the purposes of technical support and design assistance. We also have expertise in a variety of secondary operations including both in-die and conventional welding and tapping, assembly and finishing.

History :

Bachman Machine Company was founded as an individual proprietorship in 1927 by William N. Bachman. The company started as a tool and die shop and operated in a store front building in St. Louis, MO. In 1929 Bachman Machine moved locations and expanded it’s capabilities to handle metal stamping by purchasing its first punch press. In 1936 the company needed room for more punch presses and so moved to a larger building. After moving locations Bachman bought more punch presses. Plastics Molding Company, a subsidiary of Bachman, was founded in 1946. In 1963 the metal stamping department purchased more punch presses and in 1982 a precision machining department was created. In 1988 the company expanded to an 80,000 sq foot facility. Between 1988 and 2012 the company has purchased more equipment, increased the punch press capacity up to 1000 tons, and expanded to 105,000 sq ft. The current President is Bill Bachman who is the 3rd generation of Bachmans to lead the company.
