APN is a family business founded in Quebec City in 1970 by Claude Proteau. Thanks to Mr. Proteau’s experience and entrepreneurship, APN made its mark in producing high quality precision parts. Mr. Proteau’s son Jean took the helm in 1998, some twelve years after joining the company. His energetic leadership and technical know-how enabled APN to rapidly expand. Among other things, he bought a number of CNC machines, increased staff to around fifteen employees, and moved APN into a 10,000 sq. ft. building.

Yves Proteau, Jean’s brother, joined APN in 2004. His extensive management experience spurred APN’s already substantial growth. The company improved its administrative structure and acquired a new 21,000 sq. ft. building in Quebec City’s high tech park—all boasting the same level of APN quality.  Today, APN has a team of some fifty specialists and a full line of equipment. APN is one of the most efficient machine workshops in North America and a key international player in the highly competitive aeronautics and defense
