Dartmouth Metals, Ltd

Dartmouth Metals is a family-operated business that goes back to the 1960s. In 1962, Linwood Giberson began buying and selling metals on Canal Street in Dartmouth. He quickly earned a reputation for fairness and uncompromising service. In 1979, his son Peter founded what is known today as Dartmouth Metals Ltd. “Like father like son”, Peter was joined in the business by a third generation, David Giberson. We call him Dave.

Dave practically grew up on location and he worked part-time at the company during high school, learning the ins and outs of the family business. He kept involved and continued to work on a half-time basis throughout university. Then in 2003, after graduating, he started full-time at Dartmouth Metals where he and his father Peter work side by side.

Fast forward to today… Dartmouth Metals now employs over 25 people locally and we sell within the Atlantic region, across Canada, and to foreign markets. We have continued to build our reputation on a solid foundation of trust, expertise and superior customer service.
