Del-Tool Co., Inc. was founded in 1967 by Joseph (Joe) W. Ward and was located in Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin. The shop was moved to Baraboo in 1973 and was located in a small building on Camp Street. Doug Brinker came to work for Joe in January of 1985 and in 1987 Dale Brinker went into business with Joe. A larger shop was built on Sauk Avenue in 1988 to accommodate their growth in business. Kirk Brinker joined the company in 1993. Joe retired in 1995 and the Brinker family acquired the business. The Sauk Avenue location was purchased by Sauk County in 2001 for expansion of some facilities located adjacent to Del-Tool. The current shop on Commerce Avenue was completed in the spring of 2002, which allowed for growth into larger tooling. Dale decided to retire from the mold making business in 2003.
