R & T Unit Can Company

Unit Can Company was founded in the late 1970's. We began by recycling the aluminum cans picked up by United Disposal Garbage Service which operated out of the same location of 1000 North Phillips Avenue. The company grew and prospered through the next two decades. During this time we began to also recycle non-ferrous metals such as scrap aluminum, brass, copper, and stainless steel. 

In 1997 Ron Nedved and Tom Berndt formed R & T Unit Can Company which is operated as a corporation. We have been through the ups, downs, lefts, and rights of this business. Through this all, we have continued to be successful thanks to all of our customers. 

Due to our hard work ethics, attention to detail, and personal interaction with our customers, we plan on continuing this journey for a long time to come. 

We were located at 1000 N Phillips Ave in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. On September 19th, 2011 we moved into our new facility.  This is located at 1307 E 39th St N.  This is east of N. Cliff Ave.  It is directly east of the Cenex(Cubby's) and Subway station. We have a green fenced in lot with a green roofed building to designate our efforts to be environmentally green.
