Steel House MFG

Welcome to Steel House MFG, one of the leading architectural metal fabrication shops in Austin, Texas. Our company was established in 2008 when Jonathan Duke started Austin Outdoor Studio (now Steel House MFG) in his one-car garage on Oakmont Blvd. He developed a few planters and some furniture, and decided to build a business around them. Armed with a grinder, an old welder, some hand tools and an undying need to create, the business was started. The initial products moved slowly, but the custom market was beating down the door. This naturally steered the business away from the products but allowed us to work on incredible projects in the Austin area like the W Hotel, many high end residences, and even the Willie Nelson Statue in downtown Austin. From our humble beginnings in a small garage, we have grown to employ 25-plus employees and operate in a 15,000 square foot shop. We are composed of designers, artists, and true craftsmen, and we are proud to a part of the unique community that is Austin.
