ARI
3726 Hawkins St. NE, Albuquerque, New Mexico, United States | Scrap Iron & Steel
The mission statement of ARI is to provide optimal end-of-life asset management of electronic equipment. Our company is the one and only electronics recycling company in New Mexico to be R2 (Responsible Recycling) Certified, an internationally recognized accredited certification for electronics recycling. You can find our company listed on their website at www.sustainableelectronics.org So, what does it mean to be R2 Certified? ARI is certified to a nationally-accepted standard for recycling electronics called the R2 Standard. R2 is rigorously and independently audited, emphasizing quality, safety, and transparency. The R2 Standard was created in 2008 through a multi-stakeholder process that included the U.S. EPA, electronics manufacturers, recycling companies, non-profit organizations, and other groups. Electronics recycling and refurbishment facilities certified to the R2 Standard adhere to best-practices in worker health and safety, environmental protection, chain-of-custody reporting, data security, and other areas. We follow the R2 hierarchy of reuse as the highest form of recycling followed by recovery and disposal of electronics in an environmentally safe manner. Our goal of zero landfill waste is met by diverting electronics from entering landfills. This mission will significantly benefit the communities we serve, our state and our environment.
