American Aluminum Company
324 Coit Street, Irvington, New Jersey, United States | Aluminum
Herman Hartl founded American Aluminum Casting Co. in 1921 as an aluminum sand casting foundry. Mr. Hartl had previously worked for 26 years in the foundry that became American Aluminum, starting in 1895. He continued to run the foundry until his retirement, adding his three sons to the staff in the process.
During WWII, the Company provided critically-needed high integrity aluminum castings for the American military that contributed to the Allied victory over the Axis powers. Since that time, the Company has added to its scope of manufacturing the permanent mold process for aluminum, and both aluminum and zinc-based die casting operations. American Aluminum Casting Co. continues today to supply castings used for military and aerospace applications.
Now under the guidance of the third generation of the Hartl family, American Aluminum provides high integrity castings to a wide variety of other industries. With a historical legacy of continuous improvement, the Company will vigorously strive to serve existing and new Customers by always meeting their requirements.
