PYRAMID SERVICES

Our company was started as a scrap yard in Mesa, AZ by Robert Balzano in the late 1960’s. The special attention Robert provided to customer needs, with an emphasis on service, resulted in unprecedented growth and his company, then called Midwest Metal Services, grew from a small junk yard with two employees to a full-service scrap yard with 27 employees.  After nearly 20 years of running a scrap yard Robert decided to simplify and formed Pyramid Services in 1985, a container roll off company without all the employees and overhead. Well, if you know Robert you know his old school values and attention to customer service soon caused Pyramid to boom again and before he knew it Robert had a couple hundred containers scattered at customers all around the Valley.  In January 2016 Robert decided he’d give retirement a try and sold Pyramid Services to Jim Vant & Mike Vant. After being in the transportation and scrap metal recovery and processing business in Arizona for over 20 years and sharing several mutual customers and vendors with Robert over the years we’re excited about the synergy between Pyramid Services and our other business, Crow Wing Transport, and the ability to offer Roll Off service to our existing and new customers.
