S&S SOLAR INC

Shadrack Aggrey was born and raised in Ghana. He set a personal goal – to move to the United States and become an entrepreneur. Shadrack completed his high school education with vocational training in carpentry. After completing his sophomore year attending the University of Education, Winneba in Ghana, Shadrack decided it was time to move to the United States to follow through with his personal goal. Shadrack arrived in the United States in 2011 and proved to himself that anything can be achieved as long as you work hard for it. For the last five years since arriving in the US, Shadrack has gained extensive hands-on experience working on both commercial and residential solar installations throughout the New York Tri-State Area. Shadrack met Stelios Karapetis while working on solar projects together. Shadrack and Stelios make up S&S Solar Inc., which opened in Spring 2016. Shadrack was enrolled in Apex Technical School for Construction during 2012-2013. He received his entry level North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP) certificate and is working to obtain the Mastery Certificate. In his free time, you can find Shadrack jogging or exercising in the park. He also has a passion for playing his guitar. Shadrack exemplifies ambition, determination and integrity. Each solar project he designs and installs is a personal project to him. His goal is to always deliver on his clients expectations. Perfection is his priority.

Stylianos N. Karapetis was born in Athens, Greece. He goes by Stelios for short. Born to a Greek American mother and Greek father, Stelios frequently traveled and lived both in Greece and America.  Stelios attended and graduated vocational High school at 1st Technical Business School of Marousi in Athens Greece. Stelios worked in the mornings as an Electrician apprentice and at night he would study.  He decided to focus on his career as an electrician in 1999. By 2009, Stelios began his training and work in solar energy in Greece. Stelios passion for solar energy combined with his quick thinking for finding solutions has allowed him to be a mastermind when it comes to troubleshooting. Stelios has worked on many large solar projects as a solar foreman installer in Greece.  His success in this area gained him a reputation as someone who is a dedicated, hard worker with extensive knowledge in this field earning him respect among solar industry leaders.  Installing projects from 3.4 Mega Watts in Karditsa, Greece to 4 Kilowatts on residential rooftops in the United States, Stelios has successfully completed and provided solar energy solutions to his clients. Stelios arrived to New York City in the Spring of 2013 to contribute and develop the solar industry in America because of his passion for saving our environment. While working in New York, Stelios meet Shadrack Aggrey who today is his business partner in S&S Solar Inc. During his free time he loves soccer, basketball, playing pool, enjoys good food and sampling wine and especially traveling to remote places to walk in nature and relax.
