Extruders has dedicated itself to building a solid single-source company with a national presence, and with an uncontested reputation for quality, delivery, and service.Founded in 1975, Extruders began producing aluminum extrusions on a single press. In 1983 an additional press was installed and in 1998 a third, our 2,750-ton 9” press. We are continually investing back into the company with equipment upgrades and additions to manufacturing capabilities.The 24-1/2 foot vertical liquid paint line was installed at Extruders in 1995. In 2003, the expanding market for painted extrusions prompted us to install the first 24-1/2 foot vertical powder coating line in North America. Both of these lines have been continually upgraded to assure we continue to meet the most stringent coating requirements.At our 218,881sqft facility in Wylie, Texas, we serve a variety of industries located in the Midwest and throughout the United States and Mexico. We provide value added products and solutions to industry leading companies.Extruders is run by an experienced team with over a century of collective extrusion expertise. Extruders is owned by Tower Extrusions, LTD out of Olney, TX. This continuity of team experience has helped to shape “the customer first” culture of the company. As a result we are easy to work with and have a very responsive in-house trucking and delivery service. Our on-time delivery and product quality acceptance consistently exceed 98%.

Services

Design Assistance

Our objective is to use our 35 years in the business to help quickly develop the design and eliminate potential waste. The process starts with a thorough analysis of your needs and continues through tooling definition, finishing specifications, prototyping/ first run verification, and concludes with completed parts. Our state-of-the art CAD (Computer-Aided Design) System provides drawings to industry standards so we all have the same view. With our Design for Manufacturability analyses we evaluate everything from aluminum alloy and temper selection, extrusion press selection, die requirements, fabrication requirements, finishing requirements, packaging methodologies, and shipping requirements.

Powder Paint/ Liquid Paint
A major service we offer is multiple paint solutions. We are experts in both wet paint and powder coating technology. In fact we installed the first 24-1/2 foot vertical powder coating line in North America. With the wet and powder coated extrusions we meet AAMA 2603, 2604, and AAMA 2605 specifications. Wet paint coating thickness runs 0.8-1.0 mil, while powder averages about 1.8 mil. The thicker powder coating typically provides more protection and extrusion coverage. Our state of the art equipment is some of the largest in the industry and it allows us to cost effectively process lengths up to 24.5 foot lengths. We offer over 240 standard colors plus custom color match.
