Robert started Boston Welding & Design, Inc.™ working in a very small shop. Not unlike every successful start-up business, it was par for the course to work 14 hour days, 7 days per week. Like all dreams that have ever been pursued and achieved, every minute of sacrifice and hard work has been well worth it. It was with a tremendous amount of dedication, perseverance and discipline, that Bob have been able to grow Boston Welding & Design, Inc.™ into one of the most reputable welding and metal fabrication companies in New England, consistently growing through recessions and boom times alike.Bob’s first growth phase took them into a 1700 square foot facility, followed by a move into 5,000 square feet. Today, the company operates out of their own 12,000 square foot building, with the most up to date equipment and a highly qualified and certified work force. The shop foreman supervises day to day manufacturing operations while a full time estimator, CAD operator, project manager and customer service staff provide the internal support that is so important to customers and management alike.
Bob took up a trade in school because he loves working with his hands and seeing the physical results of his efforts. He loves to look at the work his company does, especially the jobs that are so difficult and challenging that nobody else wants to take them, and say: “We did that!” Whether it is making frames, hanging pipes, I-beams, mezzanines or catwalks, he understands that Boston Welding & Design, Inc.™ needs to be fast, sharp, affordable and dependable. It took long hours to give the company the strength, vision and foundation to become one of the most capable and talented welding companies in the Greater Boston area. Certified For all Welding Processes
Calipers on blueprintIn the world of welding manufacturing, the term “process” refers to the type of material that is being “processed.” Stainless steel does not have the same properties as steel and therefore requires a different method of handling. There are some end uses for which one metal (aluminum) is highly suited and for which another metal (stainless steel) would not be appropriate. The material, in combination with the particular end use, determines the welding manufacturing process. Welding methods such as TIG welding, MIG welding, STICK welding and FCAW welding are often understandably confused with welding process.
Does the job call for water cutting? Perhaps forming and rolling is an important part of the process necessary to create a particular product. Whatever the welding process might be, Boston Welding and Design, Inc. has the ability, machinery, tools, highly trained personnel, and the necessary welding certifications to produce a high quality product. It is the ability to easily move from one process to another that makes Boston Welding and Design, Inc. a highly diversified welding manufacturer.Call Boston Welding and design, Inc. today at 781-932-0035 and experience a well balanced approach to welding manufacturing processes.
