Gail Materials

Gail Materials has been a family owned and operated company since 1979. Our original roots began in the trucking industry. On any given day during its heyday Gail Trucking would be running about 50 to 80 trucks per day. Today trucking has less of an emphasis with the main priority being mining and the production of specialty products.  Gail Materials was born in 1984 and over the years we have developed an unequal expertise for mining decomposed granite and for producing stabilized DG and ball field products. With the passing of Gail Leinen in 1991 the two sons Mitch and Nick took over the reins of the company. Mitch is the president of our sister company Canyon Tire and Nick is the current president of Gail Materials.  Today Gail Materials has a solid reputation for producing high quality products with an experienced consulting staff always on hand to service the customer. World-wide we are the largest producers of stabilized DG and stabilized infield mix. We have the fortunate opportunity of being a supplier for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games where we sent over 100 tons of specialty clay for construction of the baseball and softball fields. Gail Materials is not limited to DG and infield mix and we are also a leader in producing specialty products such as Cornell Structural Soil, Greenroof media, topsoil and sands.  Gail Materials also believes in giving back to the industry. Every year we donate thousands of dollars of materials to the MLB Urban Youth Academy, Little Padre Parks and the Los Angeles Angels Foundation. We also are active participants with the STMA and CPRS. We realize that tomorrow is a new day and Gail Materials will be growing and changing every day and we look forward to new challenges that each day brings.
