Laney’s is a full service jewelry store here in Williamsburg, Virginia!  We are a family owned business interested in offering unique products and services to the Williamsburg Community.  We also offer many of our products at our on line store.    The on line store can be viewed from your mobile device as well.  Laney’s has been in business since 1980.  We have proudly served the needs of  generations of Williamsburg families!  We look forward to working with you and your family.  We have a large selection of jewelry from which to choose.  We reject much that is offered for sale in the jewelry industry because of poor workmanship, inferior design or value.  Our jewelry is unique.  Each item is personally examined before we offer it for sale.  We stock loose diamonds and other color stones.  Our staff is trained to offer you the finest of service.  We believe a well education consumer is likely to be a Laney’s client.  We enjoy sharing our gemological knowledge and jewelry expertise.  We offer a free diamond lesson.  We also offer a free jewelry cleaning and inspection service.  Designing your own jewelry is a lot of fun.  I would encourage you to visit and view the possibilities.  Together  we will explore a number of design options.  Once you have selected a style you like we will create a model for inspection.  Once the model is approved we will cast the jewelry and set your gemstones.     We repair jewelry, repair watches, replace batteries and bands on watches, string pearls and fix broken eyeglasses.  We use state of the art equipment to perform these repairs.  You will find we are capable of repairing items others consider beyond help.  Most jewelry repair is performed in house.  Gem stone cutting and watch repair is performed off site.  We will appraise your jewelry.  Appraisals are performed on site by Doug McLean.  Doug holds the title of Graduate Gemologist from the Gemological Institute of America and Certified Gemologist Appraiser from the American Gem Society.  Most appraisal work is done in under a week.  As a member of the American Gem Society,  we subscribe to the highest standards of ethics, knowledge and customer service found in the jewelry industry.  We believe you will find our approach to business refreshing and a welcome change.
