Lightning Steel originated in Tampa, Florida in 1995 under the name of Robinson-Moore Welding with a single welding machine in the back of an S-10 Chevy pickup. We started off doing small stair and handrail jobs. A year later the company was renamed Lightning Steel, Inc. We continued to focus on stair and handrail until our first big contract in 1997 which was the installation of all the rail and miscellaneous steel in the lower bowl of Raymond James Stadium. Lightning Steel has since developed into a full service structural, ornamental, and miscellaneous irons company offering all stages of fabrication and erection.  We have recently opened a satellite office in North Carolina and are accepting jobs anywhere in South Carolina and Georgia as well.

Lightning Steel offers a wide array of services including fabrication and erection. After nearly 20 years of experience, we offer the highest quality of excellence. We take pride in every job and get it done on time and within budget. With the latest design engineering products and welding trucks, equipped with the newest welding machines, we can take on any job. At Lightning Steel, we are capable of fabricating almost anything to accommodate the needs of our customers. Although we are happy to take on special builds.
