Sierra Aluminum Company is a 100% Employee Owned manufacturer of standard and custom aluminum extrusions located in Southern California. We have 2 major manufacturing campuses located in the cities of Riverside and Fontana. Our major manufacturing capabilities include billet casting, extrusion, painting, anodizing, thermal improvements (both pour and de-bridge and insulating strut), fabrication (including CNC machining), and architectural services. Our products range from basic mill finished extrusions all the way to the most complex unitized curtain wall assemblies. Our aim is to exceed our customer requirements and to deliver unbeatable value.

Prior to founding Sierra Aluminum Company, both Bill Hunter and Ed Hudon had been working in the extrusion industry for collectively more than 40 years. They felt that they could offer customers a better overall package than what existed in the industry at the time. With that Sierra Aluminum was founded in 1986.

Extrusion Service
Sierra Aluminum Company operates a total of three separate extrusion facilities containing six extrusion presses. Two of our presses have 7 inch containers, three of our presses have 8 inch containers, and one press has a 9 inch container. These presses are manned by knowledgeable supervisors and production personnel who ensure that the parts we run are within customer specifications. We extrude 6005A, 6061, 6063, and 6105 alloys. All of our extrusions are manufactured according to the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) standards and Aluminum Association tolerance guidelines.
All of our extrusion lines consist of presses manufactured by UBE Machinery and handling equipment manufactured by Granco Clark. In the event that we have a breakdown, equipment commonality allows our maintenance personnel to quickly find and fix the problem. In the event of a major breakdown, our duplication in equipment sizing allows us to rapidly move tooling to another production line and continue uninterrupted material supply to our customers.
