Commercial Fabrication is a commercial steel fabricator located in St. Peters, MO. We manufacture custom designed/detailed items from steel, aluminum and stainless steel. Our capabilities include sawing, shearing, plasma cutting, bending, punching, welding (steel, aluminum and stainless), and priming.In 2015, Commercial Fabrication was purchased by Cathy Gallaher who is now President and is the only WBE/DBE Steel Fabricator in the St. Louis metro area. As WBE/DBE contractor and an AISC fabricator, we focus on providing value by maintaining open, honest lines of communication and by helping our customers make informed decisions affecting cost, schedule and constructability.

History

COMMERCIAL FABRICATION started in 1974 by Harry Cromer as a metal fabrication company located on 6 acres in St. Peters, Missouri (a suburb of St. Louis) to serve the building construction and specialty metal fabrication industries.In 1999, Commercial Fabrication was purchased by Sharon and Bill Sowers and over their 16 years of ownership increased sales from $3 million/year to $6 million/year. During the Sowers tenure, Commercial Fabrication also became a WBE/DBE certified steel fabricator.

In 2015, Sharon and Bill retired and sold the company to Cathy Gallaher. With a background in finance and operations, Cathy is an entrepreneur at heart and believes having that entrepreneurial spirit allows for running a customer friendly, solution focused, and efficient company. Cathy maintains the WBE/DBE certification for the company.Commercial Fabrication is also AISC Certified. This certification affirms that the facility has the personnel, organization, experience, procedures, knowledge, equipment and commitment to produce fabricated steel of the quality required for structural steel building construction.
