A.J. Oster’s presence in the West and southern California began in the early 1980s when they purchased a small aluminum distributor in Anaheim. Renamed A.J. Oster West, the operation grew rapidly to become one of the largest full-service facilities serving the U.S. West Coast along with the border and Baja regions of Mexico. Now located in a 50,000-sq.ft. building in Yorba Linda, A.J. Oster West is strategically aligned with numerous high quality vendors and offers a wide range of specialty products and services.

History

The A.J. Oster story began in 1922, when Aaron J. Oster opened a one-man scrap metal operation in Chelsea, Massachusetts. Today, the firm he founded has grown into one of the nation’s largest distributors of metal foil, sheet and strip, providing vitally important products and services to customers across the continental U.S., Mexico and the Caribbean. As an affiliate of Olin Brass, A.J. Oster is a key member of one of the world’s largest and most respected organizations in the metals industry, poised to play a major role for years to come.
