HISTORY
Pace Industries was founded in 1970 with a small die casting facility located in Harrison, AR. Today, the company has become one of the largest and most diversified die casting companies in the world. In the late 1980’s, Pace grew considerably and built a national reputation as an expert in large, thin-walled die castings serving the lighting and grill industries.Expanding its geographic footprint and product offerings, Pace acquired Mangas Tool & Die of Muscle Shoals, AL, to offer tool and die production and expertise to its growing customer base in 1988. More growth was experienced in the 1990’s, and in 1994, Pace S.A. de C.V. in Saltillo, Mexico, was built as a joint venture to support a major customer’s expansion into Mexico. In 1995, Pace acquired a second tool and die shop, Patterson Mold of St. Louis, MO.After two decades of incredible growth and expansion, Pace was purchased by Leggett & Platt of Carthage, MO, soon acquiring Cambridge Tool of Billerica, MA, B&C Die Casting of Jonesboro, AR and St. Paul Metalcraft of St. Paul, MN. Pace also opened its second international facility in Chihuahua, Mexico. In 2000, Pace acquired Product Technologies of Maple Lake, MN.Pace was sold to its previous owner, Kenner & Co. of New York, in 2008 and has since focused on developing technologies, die casting processes, talent and capabilities that will lead to continued expansion throughout North America.
