History

Founded in 1985, Riverfront Steel originally operated from a pole barn on Mehring Way in downtown Cincinnati, Ohio with 2 employees. Our name came from our location, as we were on the Ohio River, a short distance from Riverfront Stadium. Our extensive inventory and responsive service made us popular with area contractors and fabricators and we experienced steady growth.

The Big Move came in 1999. We were outgrowing our facility and extending daily service in all directions. We built a new, larger warehouse and processing center on 8 acres in Evendale, Ohio. This location, next to I-75, helped us expedite deliveries to our growing customer base in Indianapolis, Lexington and central Ohio, and is very convenient for our will-call customers. In 2011, we increased our warehouse space by 50% to consolidate our growing plate fabrication capabilities. This also created additional space in the warehouse to stock an ever-widening array of steel products.
